Canoe and Kayak
Fourteen miles of the Wild and Scenic Myakka River flow through the park. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent from the Myakka Outpost.
A boat ramp provides access to Upper Myakka Lake. Canoes can also be launched at the bridges, fisherman's area and other picnic areas.
During periods of low water (winter and spring), it is necessary to portage around the weir at the south end of the Upper Lake.You may check the current river height here.
