The trail takes you across open prairies dotted with numerous small
marshes, and through hammocks of cabbage palms and live oak trees.
Deer, turkey, and many kinds of wading birds can often be seen in this
area. You may also encounter bobcats, otters, bald eagles, sandhill
cranes and alligators.

| Register and pay fees at the Ranger Station. There you may obtain a map and a copy of the horse trail regulations. Firearms, dogs, and intoxicants are prohibited. | ||||||||||||||||
